This is where you should be checking for cracks or damage in the limbs, trunk, and canopy of the tree. Make sure there aren’t any branches growing too close to things like rooftops, wires, and eaves troughs.

-For any branches extending towards your house, shorten them so they aren’t coming too close. Make sure the canopy is raised over your roof.
-If you find any cracked, damaged, diseased, or dead branches, prune them off.
